OPEN HOUSE - The Early Childhood Journey

We are so excited about the upcoming OPEN HOUSE taking place on Martin Luther King Junior Day, January 16th, 2012....Our JOURNEY will begin @ 9:00 in the morning, where parents & their children will have an opportunity to meet with me (yes, I'm the Early Childhood Director, and frequent contributor to this blog). After hearing a general overview of all the exciting programming happening in our center, each parent will travel to each classroom to get a "snapshot" of the amazing learning, growing and developing that goes on behind the classroom doors of our "purple hallway"through hands-on experiences! As our journey comes to a close, we will re-group to enjoy some kid-friendly entertainment! It should be a wonderful trip! Come and join us, bring your children & spread the word!!!

Cookbook!!

Our Early Childhood Center needs help on our quest to create a cookbook that reflects your favorite family recipes!

We welcome your contribution of one or more of your family favorites, from soups to sides (no chocolate chip cookies, please!) Recipes can be dropped off at the school, or emailed to ecrecipes.akiva@gmail.com. Please include a recipe title, the directions for the recipe, and tell us something that makes your recipe unique!! Please submit your recipe by November 28thfor inclusion in the cookbook. The cookbook will be available for sale for $18 -- just in time for Chanukah! Select recipes from the cookbook will be available for sampling at our Family Chanukah Concert on December 22nd.

You will find an order form attached. We will be happy to mail additional copies to friends and family outside of Michigan (to the US and Canada).
